Tanya Hooper - Performing Arts Teacher
Our Performing Arts program is a vibrant, creative community where students discover their voice, build confidence, work cooperatively with peers, and develop skills that last a lifetime. From full-scale school musicals to dynamic choir performances, students have opportunities both on and off campus to shine on stage and behind the scenes.
Students experience the excitement of storytelling through song, dance, and drama.
Our lunch time choir provides an alternative to lunch time activities while nurturing vocal technique, harmony, and performance skills, while fostering teamwork and a strong sense of community.
Students also explore a variety of instruments, guided by passionate instructors dedicated to helping each student grow. Beyond artistic development, our program emphasizes essential life skills such as collaboration, discipline, leadership, time management, and resilience.
The Performing Arts Program at West and Haven Primary School provides a learning environment where students don’t just learn how to perform, but learn how to express themselves, support one another, and step confidently into any spotlight life offers.
