The Health program for Foundation to Year 6 students is designed to help develop the knowledge and skills needed to lead healthy, safe and active lives. It focuses on helping students understand how to make healthy choices, recognise and manage emotions, build positive relationships and stay safe. Students learn about personal hygiene, nutrition, mental health, and how to seek help when needed. They also explore topics like respecting diversity, understanding the effects of bullying, and the importance of community health. Throughout these years, the Health curriculum supports students in recognising physical and emotional changes as they grow, understanding how these changes affect their health and relationships, and developing strategies to manage them. The program aims to promote overall wellbeing and encourage lifelong healthy habits.
