visual Arts

Our Visual Arts Program promotes creativity, expression and problem-solving in all year levels. Students are given the opportunity to explore, experiment and create using a wide range of media including; painting, sculpture, pottery, collage, textiles and drawing. Through various art forms, students are able to express their ideas, feelings, imagination and knowledge.

Our young artists learn to openly and honestly share, discuss and critique work to help themselves and others improve and develop their art. Students are encouraged and supported to problem solve and work with ‘mistakes’ by thinking outside the square and viewing them as unexpected opportunities.

Classes are timetabled one 50 minute session per week in the purpose-built art room at Horsham West, and in the central, open space at Haven.
