Instrumental Music Lessons
HWHPS will be offering Group Instrumental Music lessons in 2022 at the West Campus. Parents can enrol their child for lessons on one of the following instruments:
Keyboard
Guitar
Violin
Flute
Bass Guitar
The cost is $160 per student per term of 8 sessions. Parents can contact Janelle Phillips via XUNO or the West Campus Office to enrol or for any further queries.
Our School Band Programme
In Term 4 of 2021, we started our first school band, inviting students to join who had already developed basic musical skills on their selected instrument over 1-2 years of learning. The band programme focuses on building a range of skills including directed listening, playing on the beat together, layering multiple parts and performance presentation. Above all, it’s great fun to play music together.
All students are eligible to join the band once they have established a basic rhythm, counting and reading skills on their instrument. The cost is $160 per student per term of 8 sessions.
Instrument Hire
A limited amount of instruments are available for hire at $50 per term, subject to availability. This is often a good option if a student just wants to try out a new instrument for a term before purchasing one. Please contact Janelle Phillips for more details.
